Dance, dance and more dance

To put it simply, I love to dance! It has been a passion of mine for the last 12 years, but I never really took it seriously until I became an adult. I used to attend various dance classes when I was a student and joined clubs at school. But I never thought I would ever be making my own choreographies or even videos! When I was a kid, I used to cry if I had to dance in front of others. But now I do it for a living! During the pandemic, I’ve been trying to train and improve in dance and one of the things I wanted to challenge myself with was making my own dance video.  I loved making dance videos with my friends over the years, but I never really tried doing it on my own. I made a quick dance video while I was traveling in Italy a couple years back, but I wanted to make my next one even more special. So, I picked a fun song and took (quite a long) time creating a decent choreography. Choreographing doesn’t come easily to me, but I still enjoy it. For my video, I had the idea of having different outfits and making it look like there are multiple people. This not only challenged my dancing but also my editing skills. It took practically a whole day to film and an additional whole day to edit (because that cloning technique really slows down my computer). I’ll admit, I’m not 100% pleased with how it turned out, but I did give it my all and had fun making it. I’m proud that I accomplished my goal of making a dance video during the pandemic.  Progress over perfection after all.
