Jasmine Massé is an actor, dancer, filmmaker and editor based in Toronto, Canada. Born in Asia, she was adopted as an infant by her Canadian parents and grew up in a bilingual (English and French) household in Ottawa. Jasmine developed a keen interest in the arts very early on and loved to draw and play piano. Her interest in theatre began in high school where she studied drama and acted in school plays. She continued her theatre education in university and graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Music with Magna Cum Laude Honours (2018). As a university student, Jasmine was selected to study at Waseda University in Tokyo (2016). While in Japan, Jasmine became proficient in the Japanese language and led a Waseda student dance troupe.

The following year she moved to the Netherlands on a Working Holiday Visa to continue her dance training in Amsterdam and also traveled throughout Europe.

During her travels in Asia and Europe, Jasmine made weekly travel vlogs for her YouTube channel, which developed a new interest in filmmaking and editing. When she returned to Canada, she was inspired to create her own films. Her first short film, Familiar Strangers, was chosen as one of the Top 5 Best Films at the Digi60 Filmmakers' Festival (2020) in Ottawa. Jasmine won the Festival’s Best Acting Award for her performance in Familiar Strangers. The following year, she made another film for the Digi60 Filmmakers’ Festival, called Ghost Writer, which was also chosen as one of the Top 5 Best Films at the 2021 festival.

Jasmine graduated from Humber College in Post-Production (2022) and is currently employed at CBC/Radio-Canada in Toronto as a Video Editor for CBC News Network, Le Téléjournal Ontario and The National (in parallel with her acting endeavours).

She loves collaborating with people to bring stories to life through film and hopes to inspire others to follow their dreams, whatever they may be.
