My first short film!

My filmmaking journey started last year at the beginning of the lockdown in 2020. In May, I saw a notice for the Isolation Film Festival calling for quarantine short films. I decided to participate in this challenge and made my very first short film and called it “What Should I Do?” I was inspired to make something that resonated with the COVID-19 lockdown situation. I based it on my own feelings about being stuck in quarantine and how I struggled between needing to be productive versus wanting to just laze around. I wrote, filmed, starred and edited everything on my own which posed quite a challenge. I learned a lot about what it takes to make a short film, and although my film didn't make it into the festival, I'm proud of what I accomplished. I learned new skills and my friends and family enjoyed my first film, which made me happy.
